Four late night UP West Line trains cancelled Friday, July 26, due to track project

The last two inbound and the last two outbound trains on Metra’s Union Pacific West Line will be cancelled on Friday night, July 26, to accommodate continued work on a major track construction project.

The last two outbound trains scheduled to depart Ogilvie at 11:40 p.m. and 12:40 a.m. will not operate Friday night, July 26, and the last two inbound trains scheduled to depart Elburn at 9:25 p.m. and 10:25 p.m. are also cancelled.

The changes are needed to accommodate a major project to add a third track to the line between West Chicago and Geneva.
