To see which trains might be delayed by construction projects, look for the hardhat icon in the schedules for each line. 

BNSF: See below for effective construction dates

Effective April 1 until further notice: Weekday construction occurring between Cicero and Naperville. Midday trains with the helmet logo displayed underneath may be delayed up to 10 minutes.

Effective September 7: Saturday construction occurring near Harlem Ave. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 10 minutes.

Metra Electric: See below for effective construction dates

Effective April 1 until further notice: Weekday and weekend construction occurring for the 147th St. Sibley station rehabilitation and a tie gang. Weekday midday trains (In: 100, 214-130 / Out: 101, 215-165) may be delayed 15 minutes. Weekend midday trains (In: 800-828 / Out: 8301-829) may be delayed up to 20 minutes.

Effective April 8 until further notice : Weekday and weekend evening construction occurring between 11th Place and University Park. Evening weekday trains (In: 138-150 / Out: 345-153) may experience delays up to 30 minutes. Evening weekend trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed 20 minutes.

Milwaukee District North: See below for effective construction dates

Effective August 19 until further notice: Weekday and weekend construction occurring near Grayland. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 10 minutes.

Effective August 31 and September 8: Weekday and weekend trains may be delayed due to construction near Mont Clare.   Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 15 minutes.

Effective September 9 and September 13: Weekday trains may be delayed due to construction near Mont Clare.   Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 10 minutes.

Effective March 18 until further notice: Weekday and weekend construction occurring between Gresham and Mokena. Weekday midday trains (In: 414-428 / Out: 605-619) may be delayed up to 15 minutes. Weekend trains (In: 202-122 / Out: 205-221) may be delayed up to 15 minutes.

Effective August 31 through September 8: Weekend construction occurring between Clybourn to Winnetka. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may experience delays up to 30 minutes. Evening trains (In: 826-828 / Out: 827-301) may also experience delays up to 30 minutes.

Effective September 3 through September 10: Weekday construction occurring between Winnetka to Highland Park. Midday trains (plus train 303) with the helmet logos displayed underneath may experience delays up to 30 minutes. Evening trains (In: 368-376 / Out: 367-377) may also experience delays up to 30 minutes.

Effective September 11 through September 13: Weekday construction occurring between Winnetka to Highland Park. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may experience delays up to 30 minutes.

Effective September 3 through September 13: Weekday construction occurring between Crystal Lake to Woodstock. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may experience delays up to 20 minutes.
