To see which trains might be delayed by construction projects, look for the hardhat icon in the schedules for each line. 

BNSF: See below for effective construction dates

Effective September 7 until further notice: Weekday track maintenance occurring between Cicero and Naperville. Midday trains with the helmet logo displayed underneath may be delayed up to 10 minutes.

Metra Electric: See below for effective construction dates

Effective August 7 until further notice: Weekday construction taking place for the 147th St. Sibley station rehabilitation and a tie gang. Weekday midday trains (In: 214-130 / Out: 215-165) may be delayed 15 minutes.

Effective September 30 until further notice: Weekday evening construction taking place between 11th Place and University Park. Evening trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed 15 minutes.

Milwaukee District North: See below for effective construction dates

Effective August 7 until further notice: Weekday construction taking place near Grayland. Weekday midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 10 minutes.

Rock Island: See below for effective construction dates

Effective March 18 until further notice: Weekday construction taking place between Gresham and Mokena. Weekday midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 10 minutes.

Union Pacific North: See below for effective construction dates

Effective January 31 through March 22: Weekday construction for rail replacement between Lake Bluff and Waukegan. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may experience delays up to 20 minutes.

Effective March 17: Sunday track construction near Evanston, Main St. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may experience delays up to 20 minutes.

Union Pacific Northwest: See below for effective construction dates

Effective January 31 through March 22: Weekday track maintenance between Cary to Crystal Lake. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may experience delays up to 20 minutes.
