Two Metra trains will not operate beyond Lake Forest late Friday night, July 12, due to planned construction work between Lake Forest and Fox Lake.

Pace buses will provide shuttle buses for passengers traveling beyond Lake Forest for outbound Trains 2157 and 2159. The buses will meet riders at the Lake Forest Station and make all station stops between Lake Forest and Fox Lake during the outage.

A detailed schedule can be found at metra.com.

The outage will facilitate work related to the replacement of the rail crossing at Milwaukee Avenue (Route 21) in Libertyville. Milwaukee Avenue was closed at the crossing for the project on Monday, July 8 and is expected to reopen to traffic the morning of Thursday, July 18.
