Mr. Marcheschi was appointed Chief Operating Officer - Deputy Executive Director in January 2019.
As Chief Operating Officer - Deputy Executive Director for Metra, Mr. Marcheschi provides executive leadership and direction to ensure that Metra achieves its mission, vision and strategic goals. Mr. Marcheschi leads all aspects of commuter railroad operations: Transportation, Mechanical, Engineering, Positive Train Control, Safety, Rules, Regulatory Compliance, Environmental Compliance, Customer Experience and Communications, Media Relations, Website Management, Operations Training, T&E Training and Certification.
Mr. Marcheschi began his career in 1987 at Metra, in Commuter Railroad Operations, and has held progressively responsible executive positions in railroad operations for over 33 years.
